HOUSING WASHINGTON & CONFERENCE REBRAND
HOUSING WASHINGTON REBRAND
Brand identity & Systems design
Housing Washington is an organization that provides people affordable housing resources and hosts an annual conference for professionals working in affordable housing in Washington state. They wanted a modern, friendly, and approachable brand that showcased Housing Washington as the leading resource for affordable housing in the state and widened their target market to include a younger demographic.
Under the art direction of and Kerry Franz of Wildforth Creative, I created this contemporary yet warm visual branding concept to make Housing Washington stand out amongst other affordable housing organizations.
Original Housing Washington Logo
The original Housing WA logo did not have a solid brand perspective - it looked similar to most other affordable housing logos and lacked intentionality.
Rebrand Concept
The direction I created is hopeful and optimistic. The W is inspired by the eagle — a bird famous in Washington state — representing that uplifting feeling just before takeoff. Balanced with modern and editorial type, the logo is mounted in a bold holding device and paired with geometric patterns that serve as the foundational building blocks of the brand bringing a fresh and modern take to the affordable housing industry.
